The Joint Human Resources Director for Tower Hamlets Council and the Primary Care Trust has been identified as a key national player.

Deb Clarke has been called a ‘HR Supremo’ and ranked number 23 in Personnel Today’s Top 40 Power Players.

Deb’s role was described as unique in the public sector as she manages HR for both organisations.

Deb said: “It’s great to be singled out, but the most important thing is that our joint approach to HR is really making a difference locally, helping us to make a success of key initiatives, like our strategy to develop a workforce to reflect the community.”

Since her arrival, Deb has focussed on areas where the council and PCT can work together, such as leadership, diversity and improving skills.
