Three Teesside landlords have joined forces with partner agencies in the area in their latest bid towards tackling anti-social behaviour, criminal damage and arson.

Tristar Homes, Tees Valley Housing and Endeavour, whom all have properties on Norton Grange Estate, joined forces with Cleveland police, fire service and Stockton Council’s Security & Surveillance team to fund an additional mobile security camera for the estate.

The mobile camera costing £1,500 was introduced following the attack on fire officers in the estate last summer.

Tristar Homes’ neighbourhood manager for Norton Grange, Jeff Horrocks, said; “The mobile unit is an ideal addition to complement the existing stationary cameras, giving us the option to cover all areas where ASB is of concern. We need to ensure safety of our customers and our life saving fire and police officers at all times and by working together, we can reduce anti-social behaviour further.”

All partners involved, come together under the banner of ‘Norton Grange Community Forum’ – a monthly group consisting of landlords on the estate, police, residents and Stockton Borough Councils’ ‘park rangers’ and enforcement team, to discuss issues of concern to the area.

Tristar Homes have also recently funded charity group ‘The Corner House Project’ to extend their ‘youth outreach work’. Two evenings a week, 8-18year olds can go along to the Forge Community Centre to take part in a host of activities of interest to their age group including DJ mixing, martial arts, boxercise, art sessions, go-karting, street dance workshops etc and for the older ones, opportunities to receive advice on debt management, healthy living, family issues, sexual health and keeping safe, training, employment options as well as leisure activities.

Tristar Homes and its partners are committed to tackling ASB, making estates and neighbourhood safer for all residents. For more information, please visit www.tristarhomes.co.uk
