TODAY IN HOUSING

A rugby-playing revenues officer surprised his New Charter colleagues this morning in aid of Children in Need.

While everyone else has donned spots and yellow today at New Charter's HQ, "Will" (his real name) slipped into his fairy outfit after friends pledged £50 to see his tutu...

Will bullied colleagues into buying his cakes to accompany their morning coffees.  As well as the threatening fairy, several die-hard football fans have taken the humiliating steps of wearing opposition football shirts to raise the total collected.

A week long quiz raised £190.  When all the cash is counted, more than £700 should have been raised.  New Charter will then top up the efforts of staff.

And Board members got in on the act.  Chair of New Charter Housing Trust Ged Cooney completed a triathlon for the charity, raising another £300.
