Residents and staff of Sanctuary Cares Furzehatt Nursing and Residential Home in Plymouth are celebrating after scooping a silver award in the prestigious Plymouth in Bloom competition.
This is the second year the home has won silver in the Nursing and Residential Home category, with its impressive display of hanging baskets, pots, planters and a sensory garden.
The residents had a direct role to play in the success, choosing the flowers, plants and colour schemes for the award winning entry.
The home is run by Sanctuary Care, a subsidiary of leading UK housing provider Sanctuary Group.
Manager Christine Sargent said: The residents get very excited about the competition and are so proud to have won this award.
Special thanks must go to Linda Hallagan, our activities organiser, who helped with this years entry. She has a lot of enthusiasm.
Linda and Christine were thrilled to receive a certificate on behalf of the home at a presentation event at Saltram House in Plymouth.
