Lib Dems call for 'rapid action' to save vulnerable families from repossession
Thousands of empty new build properties are reportedly going to be bought by the government.
Flats and houses struggling to be sold in the economic slowdown will apparently be used for social housing.
The plan would see public cash spent on the homes which are then leased to local councils.
