Southend on Sea resident, Gladys Todd, known as “Toddy” has celebrated her 100th birthday with friends and family.

Toddy, resident of Bishop House, Sheltered scheme managed by South Essex Homes, held a special party attended by the Worshipful of the Mayor, Councillor Gwen Horrigan MBE.

The birthday girl was presented with a basket of flowers and an extra special surprise, her two grand daughters and two great grandsons arrived from the West country.

This was followed by a good dance with her friends and family.

Toddy has not let her age stop her and is still very active, enjoying weekly shopping trips to Southend and Rayleigh.
