Teenagers questioned over 'racist' murder
A man was arrested after a woman was killed and another man suffered serious stab wounds, police said today.
Officers were called to a house in Chalvey, Slough, Berkshire, at 7am this morning following a report that a man had been attacked.
The victim, in his early 20s, was taken to Wexham Park Hospital where he remains in a serious condition.
Following inquiries, detectives then attended a second address in a nearby road where they found a woman, also in her 20s, with serious injuries.
Despite efforts by paramedics to save her she was pronounced dead at the scene.
A man was arrested in connection with both incidents and remains in police custody.
Superintendent Chris Shead, Local Police Area Commander for Slough, said: "I would like to reassure the local community that a thorough investigation is under way.
"The full facts of this morning's incident are currently being established, but we believe that both incidents are linked.
"A family liaison officer has been appointed and will be providing support to our victim's family at this very difficult time."
Police have closed off both The Crescent and Ledgers Road where the incidents took place while forensic officers examine the scenes.
